Interiors were kept simple, multi functional, and serene for this family of four’s corner Brooklyn home. Built-in millwork cabinetry was designed to provide maximum storage for all of the “stuff”, while allowing for a more playful display with the open tv/artwork shelving. Built-in banquette corner seating with hidden storage and custom cushions give a sun-basked cozy corner for family time. Lighting and furnishings throughout were chosen for solid, simple lines.
The color palette was kept a soft green gray and blue palette with patterns integrated into rugs and wall fabrics to highlight furniture. Italian wall fabrics in the kids rooms were chosen for a tiny pattern that gave an overall not too busy pattern made of vinyl for easy maintenance. Solar shades in the whites and light grays maintain the beautiful corner view while providing some shading with woolen drapery in the master bedroom. It’s a peaceful, serene place.
